Foodporn : M(-a-)ki san

Have a really awesome foodporn here from yesterday!

I went to The Cathay, and was super surprised to see this store. I had seen the amazing packaging with the sushi featured on Instagram so I was really excited to find out exactly where it came from.
They have salads or sushis, and also have the whole Subway sushi edition thing where there's like set combinations and then just custom. I chose custom ;) they also have 2 different sizes, one is 7.90 and the 9.90 which is like a larger circumference.
I also got a free badge!
Here you can see how they make the rolls
Here's a promotional poster about their magic roll which is a Halloween special :)
and how cute is this store overall??
Btw this is the badge I got!
Okay so the boxes of Makisan are like a huge selling point, they're the pullout type but the prints on it are so bomb
There are five variations and each of them are seriously just adorable :)

To collect your food, they give you this plastic thing that has a number on the back and you collect your food when the number on the back is shown on the screen!
So my friend ordered a Salmon Says whilst I just got a custom one.
Some pictures ~

Okay so here's what it looks like for Salmon Says. There's wasabi mayo, salmon, ebikko, carrots, cucumber and avocado I think?
It looks like a kimbap for some reason :0
And here's mine which is custom. I chose a Garlic Aioli sauce, and my three toppings were avocado, tempura enoki and ebikko, with a seasoning of dried fish flakes (bonito)

So the people with my were having eighteen chefs yesterday, which I've already had a couple of times so that's why I wanted something different, hence I ate this elsewhere (like in the cinema in darkness) so I'm sorry if there's no additional pictures. However, I have to remark that the sushi tastes really really really good. Like you think that it might be bad because custom and what not, but I think that they've got some really really good ingredients. You can crunch through the enoki, the avocado was nice and creamy so obviously it's fresh, and then the ebikko just added that additional flavour and texture to it. You definitely have an aftertaste of garlic, thought the tempura might've absorbed it in a little so that's why I didn't really taste it.

I'd definitely come back more to this place, the sushi is seriously good which is something you might expect less when the packaging looks so damn great that it could be the major selling point.

That's all for this post! I have so many more collaborations upcoming, so stay tuned! Also finished a ton of outfit photos. Because I don't really have that many outfits I can't really be like "look book" just yet. And lastly I will have a Kanken haul coming up (I know what I said about it last time) but there was something that had me for this purchase ;) and a fashion haul too! Thanks for reading :)

Love,
Khione
